Okay, here goes....(Deep breath)
Our family of 5 is involved in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Explorer
Post, Band, Golf, Football, Theatre, well--you get the idea. We
live in a very small town, and most other scouting families have
multiple commitments as well. Trying to hookup with each other
is getting more and more difficult as various activities take us
all over and seem to be scheduled one on top of another.
I think that being able to earn merit badges over the 'net is a
marvelous idea for those of us that are 'time-challenged'.
Sharpening ones computer skills is a bonus in today's world. I
have discussed this with our SM and he agrees. In this day and
age when computer usage is booming, it only makes sense that our
children use whatever resources are available in the pursuit of
knowledge.
