Scouting/Camping Cake

I have read in the past about Father/Son Cake Auctions. I have also heard
about cakes that have been decorated to look like campsites (?), and are
fully edible. Can anyone give me ideas on what was used and for what on the
cake? Our Blue and Gold is Monday the 13th and I would love to make it for
our centerpiece.
