FYI, the name of Camp La-No-Che (Central Florida Council) did not
change, just the name of the Scout Reservation. It will hence be known
as "Camp La-No-Che" at the "Winn-Dixie Scout Reservation".

What bothers me about this post is that it serves no purpose to be
critcal, cynical, or sarcastic towards those who support the scouting
program from whatever quarter and for whatever motive. The fact is it
takes a LOT of MONEY to support an active scouting program in any area
of the country and this is an ongoing challenge for each and every
Council. If it helps induce a major supporter with special recognition
no harm done! The fact is Winn-Dixie pledged $1M over five years to
underwrite major improvements to that camp (in addition to a $500K
donation last year), much more than even Disney's significant
contribution in recent years towards that same effort. Disney's support
is more widespread and well recognized and appreciated in other ways by
this Council. Need I even ask how much Mr. Wellborn has contributed
towards his beloved "La-No-Che"?

We have much more important things to be about than critizing a Council
for its fundraising policies and efforts. I suggest that a little
special recognition might benefit more Councils if it were only tried.
