Every member should know and be able to repeat the 4-H Club pledge:
"I pledge...
My Head to clearer thinking,
My Heart to greater loyalty,
My Hands to larger service and
My Health to better living
For my club, my community, my country, and my world."
In repeating the pledge, members raise their right hands to their foreheads
when the say, "my head to clearer thinking." They lower them to their
hearts as they say, "my heart to greater loyalty." At the line, "my hands
to greater service," they extend their hands, palms upward. At the last
line,
they stand at attention with their hands at their sides.

Not as eloquent as Cheryl's "don't be afraid to put your hands in it,"
but . . .
Hope this helps.
