Where are we coming up with these people? First we had that Lock Step troop
with penalties for not selling Tom Watt. Now we have den leaders requiring
parents to attend den meetings and demanding bathrooms be cleaned?
Good Grief. It seems abundantly clear that this is over the top. Next there
will be actual corporal punishment. Cleaning a bathroom is a health risk to
start with. This is out of bounds. Ask a child to leave. You can't ask a
child to clean up your bathroom. (I suppose if he made a mess in your
bathroom- you could ask that, but this is the den leader's "mess" not the
boys)
What do you do? Complain to the Cubmaster. Complain to the Troop Committee.
If nothing happens, complain to the Council Executive. Using a liberal
standard, this might be considered Child Abuse and be a Youth Protection
issue. Ultimately you find a new pack for your son.

By the way, doesn't anyone else feel that having penalties for not selling Tom
Watt is wrong. I agree that certain campouts might require certain sales, but
I recall there were actual penalties in that troop.
