Cub Scout Supplemental Training

I have been running Cub Scout Supplemental Training in my district for almost three
years now, and I am curious as to how other people are doing with the program.
During this time, I have found through preparing the classes and giving them that
my own unit's program has improved. Those people who have taken the classes have
also found them to be useful. Based on the satisfaction of this group, we have been
building a small but steady attendance.
However, with the choice of going to Roundtable, Pow Wow, or a QLU session, most
leaders are going to go to RT or Pow Wow so they can get credit towards their training
award (all knotted up, perhaps?).
Which leads me to my questions:
1. Does anyone out here know if any changes in emphasis are being made regarding
Supplemental Training in the near future? (I am already aware of the new Cub Scout
Leader Books having the Unit Leader Enhancements included in the Training chapter
- a big step forward!)
2. Is anyone out there running a successful Supplemental training program, that
may have suggestions they could share with the rest of us? I'm willing to take all
the help I can get.
