Eagle Commendation Letters

Calvin H. Gray (405geezer@IGG-TX.NET)

Can someone let me know how to contact Gary Hendra who maintains The
MacScouter web site?

One of the resources on this excellent site is a list of individuals who
will send commendation letters to new Eagle Scouts. Several of the
listings need to be updated and I've sent at least two e-mail messages
to Mr. Hendra notifying him of this but the information has not been
updated.

Here are the listings which are incorrect.

The address for the Department of the Army is no longer valid and should
be deleted. For at least a year, the requests need to be sent to the
Army regional recruiting offices of which there are about 20 throughout
the US.

Roberto Goizueta (Coca Cola CEO) is deceased.

Thomas Washington (NRA President) is deceased.

Lou Holtz is no longer employed by Notre Dame University.

Barry Switzer is no longer the coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

T. Boone Pickens is no longer associated with Mesa Petroleum.

Gen. John Shalikashvili has been replaced by General Hugh Shelton as
Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Ed Crane and Pat Robertson have specifically asked that they be removed
from all lists of this type as the volume of mail is too great to
handle.

These people will not respond to requests so they should be removed from
the list: Thomas Curely, Eric Ober, Ted Turner, Clayton Williams and
Andrew Lack.

For up-to-date information on individuals and groups who WILL send
commendations to new Eagle Scouts, see our troop web site referenced
below.
