Guess we're lucky here in Stillwater, OK. We can get a scout story and
picture in the paper almost any time. We can even get the paper to send
out a photographer much of the time. Same for most any other youth activity.
It's usually best if we write it up and take it in as quickly after the
event as possible. If we want pictures and there's no photog available,
they's give us film. We just shoot the picture and take the roll in. They
develop it for us. They'll also accept color pictures (but don't normally
develop them for us).
Biggest complaint from the newspaper folks is stuff that comes in several
days (sometimes weeks) after an event. News comes from the word NEW, not
OLD history!!!
