Cake Auction Ideas

I liked Beth's "auction" of the whipped cream pies. That was fun. And
we found the kid's sure love to bid on the cakes. We never really thought
that it happened any other way. In our auctions, the kids LOVE to bid and
a couple parents commented on how fun that was for the kids.
We made $471 for FOS this year during our cake auction. It was
disapointing however, since it is nowhere near what our goal for FOS was.
It was well over $1000 (the goal). But I don't think that's a bad
donation for FOS. What amounts do others contribute?
