Rank Advancements

We have a dispute in our pack that I would like to put before the group
for your input.

We have been having rank advancements each month as the boys earned
their rank. Each den has set a target of Blue and Gold for completion
but the boys receive them as they earn them.

This month we are also having the arrow of light award ceremony. The
Webelos den leader has recently (yesterday) said no one else should have
rank advancements since the arrow of light was scheduled for this
month. She thinks those boys that would normally get them this month
should wait until next month. Some of our Den leaders don't care and
don't want to make waves. Some Den leaders are adamant that the ranks
should be received as earned.

What do members of the list think and have you run into this before.

Our pack meeting is tomorrow (Thursday). Thanks for any input you
have!!!
