A few years ago I spent some time at Sommers Canoe Base and had an
opportunity to talk w/ some to the female interpreters and female crew
members of coed crews (if a crew is coed they get a female interpreter
by default.) After these meetings is surmised that this is exactly the
kind of woman that I want my daughter to grow up to be. These young
ladies were confident, strong leaders. Very capable (Sommers would not
make them interpreters otherwise) and I was very impressed.
I can only wonder what the world would be like is MORE girls had these
opportunities. These are women that no man will ever push around, that
won't be afraid to speak out, and will be able to take what they deserve
from the world.
