Actually, the most recent article posted that I saw indicated that they were
considering themselves agnostics, rather than atheists.
Try a semantics approach: What is "MY" duty to God? They might believe (at
least presently) that they have *none*, so therefore it wouldn't pose a
problem to do it. I have heard that this meets the needs of some people.
Interesting thread. And with great respect to the gentleman from AZ, whose
experience and wisdom is awesome, I would prefer the far more civilized and
generally respectful company of the folks on Scouts-L for debate and
discussion to the crowd at rec.scouting,issues.
