One experience that I have had was with my girlfriend son who was ready to
quit, however since he started to hang out with my son (who is totally
involved) he started to change his mind and started to work on merit badges,
attend campout etc. I think that since he had "positive" influence from a boy
his age that really helped things turn around. Maybe if you could get him a
friend that is active in the program it might help.
