I swore I would stay out of this thread, but.....

As you may know, there are many dictionaries in print, and none of them
contains the "official" definition of anything. We aren't concerned
with how Random House defines "reverent"; for the purposes of this
discussion we must be concerned with how BSA defines it. And if you
will delve into the literature, you will see that they do have a bit
to say about what "reverent" means.

As to the second part of your question, no, I certainly do not think
that you should be kicked out of Scouting. As far as I know, you
are respectful of the beliefs of others while sorting out your own.

Please note that I'm just making a point about your posting, not
necessarily taking a side in this endless debate.
