Re: Eagle BOR Expectations

Hello Mike & Mike,

Thank you very much for your very thoughtful responses to my post on Explorer
garb at Eagle Boards of Review. Occasionally, I have been told "Gee, Neil,
why don't you say what you really think?" I wonder why? :)

I would suggest the following resolution to the Eagle BOR uniform guidelines
as suggested. If there were a sentence which said something like, "Because
Exploring has several uniform options, Explorers should consult with the
Council Advancement Committee to determine their proper dress for the Board
of Review", I would hope it would do the job. If we talk with each other,
normally we can work things out. The problem can come if we work by written
fiat.

Mike, I also totally agree and support your comment that proper uniforming
starts with the first BOR rather than with the last. If we can focus on the
TF, 2Cl and 1CL Scouts, I think we'll get a lot better Eagles and a lot more
and better younger Scouts.
