Hi folks
The focus on all BoRs is, I feel, key. If a Scout comes to me for a SM
conference - Scout, Eagle, or anywhere in between - they must be in uniform
w/handbook. After the conference, I tell them the expectation is the same
for BoR (to digress to another thread briefly, the Scout then asks the
advancement chair to put them on the shedule for a BoR, which is held on the
week following the monthly Committee meeting.) The Committee has sent a
grand total of 1 Scout away from a Board for lack of uniform, and that was
several years before I became SM. By the time a boy's Eagle conference comes
around, they know to be in uniform, and are asking me what's incorrect on
theirs so they can go to the BoR w/a perfect uniform.
