Win,
We've dome something similar, but it wasn't really setup as an 'official' MB
outing. We have committed a few weekend campouts to completing a MB. Such as
the weekend we spent on the Marshy Hope Creek earning the fishing merit badge,
or the weekend at Trap Pond State Park where orienteering was the focus for
anyone who didn't have it.
In addition, we've been lucky enough to attend the Naval Academy's Merit Badge
Jamboree almost every year for the past five or six years. There, the boys
have an opportunity to earn MB's that most individual troops just can't
offer. Such a Aviation, Oceanography, Metals Engineering (a couple of years
ago) and the like.
It's one of the highlights of the year, but the most unpredictable weekend,
weather-wise, I've ever seen. We've had beautiful days in the 70's some
years, and below zero days with 30 MPH winds other years. Two years ago it
was postponed due to a couple feet of snow.
YIS,

PS: Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
