There is no recipe for the potato and turnip. Just prepare them the
way you would normally. Simply peel the vegetables, cut them into
bits small enough to fit in the pot. Boil in water until they are
soft enough to eat. Mash. Add black pepper to the turnip, milk and
butter to the potato if like.

I am looking for anyone from Scotland to help me to
prepare the traditional mashed potatoes and turnip
that is served with Haggis. A friend brought back
to the States two cans of Royal Glenturret Haggis
from Fortnum and Mason. I am looking for the recipe
for the mashed potatoes and turnip so that I can
prepare the meal here in Texas for the next Woodbadge
Course. Thanks in advance.
