Duty to God/Sport&Academics

Boy, I'm new to this, but I'm finding I have an opinion on EVERYTHING.
(though it may be wrong :) )
I posted after the comments from Charlie on the Atheist trying to become
Eagle. I've had a new thought after seeing all the postings since. If
this is a concrete requirement all the way through Scouting...How did he
get this far? Is this some bad joke on him? Hahaha, we let you work for
12 years but now you can't get what you worked for. I just am not sure I
understand. Have I missed a LOT?
Sports/Academics Program

Where did you get this information? As I posted before, I read my leader
guide again and it does NOT say only one letter. But, I also took it
upon myself to call our local Council this morning and they said that a
boy can in fact earn a letter for every sport or academic category in
which he and an adult earn the pin. They said it has to be clear that
it's the SAME Letter for every sport or academic activity. But, to be
honest, with all the other work that these boys do for their basic
Webelos pins/badges etc, How in the world could they earn THAT many???
If I keep giving my .02 I'm gonna be broke soon!
