I hope someone fron Circle Ten Council in Dallas can help me. I was in
our local grocery store's parking lot in my Scout Leader's uniform
answering a question about Cub Scouts and Brownies (I'm also a Brownie
Leader) and when I was finished an older lady walked up and started to
talk about her days as a Scouter in Circle Ten Council. She said she was
a Roundtable Commissioner with Tomahawk District in the 70's and 80's
and said in, I believe, 1977 was awarded the Silver Fawn award, the
first woman to get it in her District. I looked puzzled and she told me
the Silver Fawn was the predecessor of the Silver Beaver. I never got the
lady's name as it was very cold and I had my kids with me. She seemed to
be so happy looking back I thought I'd invite her to visit my Pack. If
anyone might know this lady's name from my description please let me know
so I can try to find her.
Thanks in advance,
Kristen R Swank
