Perhaps you've already received lots of replies to this -- I'm a bit
behind on my SCOUTS-L; however, this info may be useful to others,
also.
If Netscape is your browser, you can open up a location or HTML file,
then save it in text format. The procedure is as follows:
1. Open the location or file by clicking on
a. File - open Location ... or File - open File ...
(note that opening a location
is the same as going to it
-- you type in its URL.)
b. Enter the location or file name and click on OK.
2. Save it as a text file by
a. Click on "File - save As ..."
b. Change type of file ("change as Type) to "Plain text (*.txt)"
c. Enter file name (eg: C:\DATA\TEXTFILE.TXT) and click on OK.
This works for anything, anywhere. Graphics are shown with the file
name within brackets.
