Marc,
If not too far, how about one of the camps (Camp Powhatan or Camp
Ottari) operated by the Blue Ridge Mountains Council in Roanoke,
Virginia? These two camps are on a 16,000 acre Scout Reservation. They
offer several excellent high adventure programs as well as normal summer
camp. A group from our troop attended Camp Ottari in July and had a
great time. We had boys in three of the high adventure programs (New
River Adventure, Claytor Lake Aquatics Base and Mountain Man Outpost)
plus several in the regular summer camp program. The phone number for
