Ages of Eagles

Gary McBain (GMCBAIN@MAIL.HENRYFORD.CC.MI.US)

In reference to the thread on the age at which most scouts earn their
eagle, I can supply some information about our troop.

In the last 2.5 years, we have had 3 eagles and 2 who will obtain eagle
before the end of the year. Of the 3 eagles, 2 were 17, one was 16, of
the 2 who are close, one is 15 going on 16, the other just turned 15.

One other boy, submitted his Eagle project, had it rejected pending
revisement, revised it but did not resubmit the revision before he organized
and completed the project without approval. He was about 17 3/4 years
old at the time. His project was not approved, so he quit.
