1st yr Brownie program?

J Ross MacKay (ross@DRUMZ.GRDL.NOAA.GOV)
Thu, 24 Jul 1997 09:28:41 -0400

Girl Scout USA alert! The following post has nothing to do with BSA.

Any suggestions, opinions, collective wisdom on:
What should be included in a 1st year Brownie Troop program?

Which Tryits are most age appropriate?

Any recomendations on attempting to earn the Honor Troop award?

How much adult guidance works best for this age group during
the Girl/Adult Planning?

Yes, I have the 103 training and am 1st Aid certified, but I'm hoping to see
some good practical advice.

My co-leader from Daiseys moved on down the road, which eliminated the
"co-" from my title. As a male, I do not feel it is appropriate to lead
the meetings, but none of the moms has stepped forward. I'm hoping that by
presenting a program outline at a parents meeting we can get the ball rolling.

Your words of wisdom will be appreciated.
