Re: Colorado Summer Camps

Perhaps I can assist, being from Longs Peak Council which operates the
3700 acre Ben Delatour Scout Ranch near Red Feather Lakes CO.
BDSR offers a comprehensive Program, including outstanding COPES (two
courses), excellent rock climbing, optional whitewater rafting and
horseback riding, and the Elkhorn High Adventure Base which this
year is fully subscribed for the season with Scouts from all over the
Nation. Elkhorn is a great way to experience Rocky Mountain High
Adventure in the Front Range of the Rockies. BDSR and the Elkhorn both
have web pages. (Enter the names on the web browser to bring up web pages
or use links found on the US Scouting Service). Longs Peak Council Program
Director is Dr. Terry Dunn who can be reached at the number listed below.
The Ranch which is now in session can be reached at (970) 881-2144.

Camp Alexander is a fine camp located in the South Central Front Range of
the Rockies, and is operated by the Pikes Peak Council at the Council
address listed below.

Denver Area Council operates the Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch near Elbert,
CO, Southeast of Castle Rock.

Western Colorado Council operates the O.A. Greager Scout camp located near
the beautiful San Juan Mountains near Telluride.

Best wishes,
