Jon,
Thanks for your time and interest in Scouts-L. Your efforts have
benefitted me many times over through my virtual campfire connection to
scouters around the world. I have saved much of the information obtained
through Scouts-L and used it in advising and serving my units as unit
commissioner, and in the training of leaders in Scoutmastership
Fundamentals. I have been able to pass along information about a Seabase
excursion opening which allowed one scout to go on a trip he might not have
otherwise.

Although many subjects are often repeated, new ideas are still expressed
each time. The ideas on ceremonies, recruiting, high adventure
opportunities, unit administration, awards, training, scout shows, games,
and etc., etc. Most of all, the discussions eventually help focus on why we
are here: the Aims of Scouting and living the Scout Oath and Law.

Thanks, Jon, for all the extra effort you put in to keep the campfire lit.
YiS
