Jon:

Let me add my voice to the growing list of those who thank you for your work
in maintaining this wonderful Scouting resource.

This was the first Internet mailing list that I joined, having joined this
at about the same time I joined Arrow-L a couple of years ago. Prior to
that my internet Scouting was limited to the Prodigy bulletin board, where I
actually met some of the Scouters who now frequent this list.

While I seem to have spent most of my time trying to answer questions asked
on this list (some would say TOO much time answering TOO many questions :-)
) I have also taken away lots of good information from the postings of
others. On several occasions I have also turned to the list for advice on
situations in my troop or district and the list has always come through with
interesting, lively responses.

I don't have a clue about what it takes to "own" a list like this, or to
keep it up and running, but it certainly more than you are REQUIRED to do,
and you certainly do this in addition to your responsibilities to your
employer, family, etc. (gee, sort of like being a volunteer Scouter), and
for that I join every other member of this list in thanking you for your
Scouting good turn.

I am sure the others join me in an offer to assist you in any way possible
in this endeavor.

I hope you enjoyed your trek to Philmont, "Scouting's paradise," and that
you didn't suffer too bad a case of Scouts-L withdrawal.

Thank you again for all your efforts on behalf of Scouting worldwide.
