"Smokey Bear Hats"

To all of you looking for the campaign style hats, If you can't afford the BSA ones, check with your local law enforcement or highway patrol. I got mine from a North Dakota State Trooper as they receive two new ones each year and throw the older ones away
. The color is close to the BSA ones and you can order a BSA hatband and chin strap from the catalog. Most of the law enforcement people will gladly donate them to Scouts if you just ask.

Yours in Scouting,
Rex Herring, SM
