Mark Arend asks about TLC (PLC) meeting arrangements.
Our SM has had incredible success with PLC sleepover meetings. These have
been at his house - neither he nor his spouse seems to get upset at clutter
- and have involved up to 15 boys at a time. The PLC goes for about 2-3
hours, with a break for pizza (the boys all chip in) and afterwards a
rented movie. Sometimes the next morning there is another activity - once
it was a hike with the new scouts (2nd class requirement); another time it
was working on the Eagle project of one of the Scouts. I have been to
several of these but did not stay overnight. Attendance at PLCs was pretty
lousy before this. It helps to make it fun.
