Patrick, I think your Pack has fallen into the great divide between
those who prefer to stick their heads in the ground and hope that "It
Couldn't Happen to Mine," and those who believe a frank discussion of
such issues will help the boys be prepared to react to the unthinkable.
To those in the first camp, ANY attempt to discuss the topic will be
resisted, no matter how sensitively portrayed. I suspect the problem is
NOT whith the film, but with the topic.

BTW, glad you found your way to SCOUTS-L!
