"It Happened To Me" -- is anyone else having problems?

Hi --
I had such good luck yesterday, I wanted to ask the list for some more advice:
We recently acquired the video "It Happened To Me" which is used in the Cub
Scout child protection program. I reviewed the tape along with the Den Leaders
and Pack Committee with an eye toward showing it either to the Pack or to
individual Dens. To say it polarized the committee would put it mildly. Before
the credits even started to roll, one of the people declared "My son is never
going to see that!" and several concurred. Others felt the tape was perfect.
I was a little nervous because I had scheduled a viewing with the Tigers that
week. So I decided to run it for the parents first and then they could make a
choice of staying to watch it with the kids or going home. On the day of the Den
meeting I didn't have a good feeling about it because some of the most
hyper-protective parents came with their kids. I gave a little talk about the
tape, reminded the parents that because they had a social context that children
don't, they would probably be seeing a completely different film than their
seven-year-olds and took the kids out to play dodge-ball while the parents
watched. To my surprise, every parent approved the film and a couple were
surprised we even bothered to pre-screen it. My sons (7 and 8)and I stayed to
watch it with them. There was no sign of a problem with either of them except
when the older one got home he said, "Hey Dad, watch this," and threw a sock
puppet down the stairs, "Socksual Abuse!"
The Pack leadership remains polarized. I figured if there was something bad to
say about the tape it would be on the internet but a search only turned up two
references -- one from a company that sells the tape and one archived message
from this list (which is how I found out about scouts-l) that only mentions it
in passing.
Are we the only Pack that has a problem with this tape? How have other Packs
handled it?
Thanks,
