Hello New England Scouts and Scouters,
Below is a schedule of some Special Historic Events to take your
Scouting Families to see. They are guaranteed to teach Scouts
what the Patriot's did to win our Freedom in 1776.

Some tips on making these events more enjoyable for you and your families:
1) Get to any event at least an hour early, especially the battle
reenactments at Concord and Lexington on April 21st.
2) Wear a hat, gloves, and dress in layers, it's very cold early
in the morning and warms up in the afternoon. When you're standing
around, not moving, the cold sets in on you.
3) Bring snacks, drinks or a thermos of coffee or hot chocolate,
there is no refreshments sold at these events.
4) Bring a folding chair, you'll be standing around for hours.
5) At Lexington Battle Green people bring step ladders to see over
the crowd. Last year the crowd was about 10 people deep.
6) Don't forget to bring a camera to take pictures of the Minute Men
and the British Red Coats in action.
I will be bringing my Cub Scout Pack to see some of these events. I hope
to see some of you there too.
