A Re-Introduction

Charles Nusbaum (nusbaum@EN.COM)
Sat, 5 Apr 1997 17:52:56 -0500

Fellow Scouts & Scouters,

I'd like to take a few moments to re-introduce myself. My name is
Charles Nusbaum and I'm from the North Coast District (formerly the
Phoenix District) of the Greater Cleveland Council in Ohio. I was a
member of Scouts-L about two years ago and left because I couldn't keep
up with the volume. I've come back because I feel that I can gather many
useful and interesting resources for my Troop, 176.

When I was on Scouts-L before, I was a Life Scout looking for
service project ideas. I remember this firmly because Mike Walton gave me
a lot of help and encouragement through the process. I left before I made
Eagle Scout, only a few months later. I do want to share a sidenote... I
set a goal when I was about 13 years old that I -would- become an Eagle
Scout before I turned 15. I want to say that that goal -was-
reached... I had and passed my Board of Review 5 days before my 15th
birthday. I'm a member of the Lewis Stokes Eagle Scout Class of 1995.

Currently, I'm a junior at Saint Ignatius High School in
Cleveland, Ohio. I'm an active member in several bands. I also work for
FishNet (www.jayi.com) and the Cleveland Airport Marriott.

In regards to Boy Scouts, I'm a Junior Assistant Scoutmaster with
Troop 176, still going strong after 62 years. I've been involved in
Scouting for over 8 years now, and I don't plan to quit. I'm also a
Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Cuyahoga Lodge No. 17. I'm
sorry to say that with work and school, my commitment to Scouting hasn't
allowed much time for OA; something which I deeply regret.

Anyways, I'll wrap it up and say that I look very forward to
reading what other Scouts and Scouters around the world have to share.
Thanks for your time, and see you online.

In Scouting,

Charles Nusbaum
JASM, Troop 176
