O.K. I really think we've beat this one to death. I don't think there
is one of us out there who would disagree about smoking being harmful to
your health. Also anyone who is or ever has been a smoker will not
dispute the fact that this knowledge does not make it any easier to
quit. There is no way we will all agree on the rights of smokers vs.
the rights of non-smokers. There are so many questions about this one
incident that we don't have answers to. Did the adult realize the boys
were present? What kind of tone was used by the boys when they "asked"
the adult to put out his cigarette out? What was the tone of his reply?
Could he possibly have just been embarrassed to be corrected by kids?
We may never know and without being there it is impossible to judge the
situation or anyone involved. How do you keep it from happening?
EVERYONE regardless if you smoke or not, should be aware and courteous
to the people around us.
