Daniel,
The food and patrol equipment should be divided by weight. Package
all the items for each meal together in a plastic bag and mark the packages.
A very good source of information is the Backpacking MB pamphlet and the
references in the back. You may even want to work on the MB.
I think its great that you guys are taking on a new challenge. I'm sure it
will add interest and excitement to your program. Perhaps your PLC will want
to plan a month of meetings around the Backpacking Helps in Woods Wisdom.
