Linda,
Try cutting an end off an onion and removing all but a couple of
layers from the inside. Break an egg into the onion shell and set it on the
coals till the egg is cooked. When it is finished, peel the outside skin off
and eat. I believe there are several ideas like this in the Scout Fieldbook.
