How to Make a Comet

UC Berkeley has put up a web page with step-by-step instructions
on how to make a comet. Designed for teachers for classroom use,
I think it could also be fun for Scouts as well. The URL is

BTW, last year we were able to observe Comet Hyakutake (sp?) on
a campout, & this year we are going down to the California
desert with the anticipation of watching Hale-Bopp. One of my
ASMs has been getting up early in the morning to check it out
& says it is magnificent. By the end of the month, those of
us who prefer to sleep later will have our chance to watch in
the evening.
