In response to Ed. Henderson and his problem with a scoutmaster and OA
elections:
As a chapter chief, I would like to know if such an event happened in my
chapter. I would also make sure that the OA advisor knew. If the
scoutmaster were to complain, it would most likely be to the advisor and
he'd like to know what actually went on.
Congratulations to the scouts and yourself for upholding the
"trustworthy"ness of Scouts in general, especially OA. Following the rules
is always the right thing to do. Personally, I think you were quite
generous to hold the election twice. The new policy was created to give
each scout EVERY opportunity to join OA IF his PEERS deemed him worthy.
Remember OA is run by and for the YOUTH!
