We use the instructor to coordinate instruction. The Guide manages New
Scout instruction, while the Instructor ensures that when the PLC
scedules a class during an program period that it happens. He is to
make arrangments with the Scout, Scouter or outside instructor to
provide the class. He also has "hip pocket" classes to fill in when a
class or program falls through.
He usually comes to the PLC as does the Quarter Master, but we limit
voting to those scouts who lead, represent groups like SPL, PL, Guide
and Crew Chief. His imput is important for scheduling since he should
be ahead, suggesting classes. He is also the liaison with Merit Badge
counselors, finding Counselors for merit badges in demand and arranging
for grou[p sessions after our weekly meeting.
