Scouting trivia

I came upona piece of interesting trivia this morning.
As the Germans prepared to invade Britain in World War II (which plans
never came to fruition), the SS were given the job to determine who need
to be suppressed and arrested.
"Among the dangerous institutions...the Boy Scouts, which was put down as
'an excellent source of information for the British Intelligence
Service.' Its revered leader and founder, Lord Baden-Powell, was to be
immediately arrested." I should point out that arrested in this case
probably meant being turned over to the SS and shipped off somewhere
ominous in Germany, Austria, or Poland.

Shirer used as his notes and documents captured Nazi documents after the
war. The above was part of the captured SS files.
