The has been previous postings on Scouts-L regarding unit policy concerning
life-threatening communicable diseases.
I have been discussing the postings with my district executive. Today my DE
faxed me information from National BSA, dated January 1997 concerning "Local
Council Guidelines Regarding Communicable Diseases and The Revised Text That
Addresses The Issue Of Disclosure".
The material comes from Council Services Division, Health & Safety Service.
The first line of the cover sheet says, "There have been many inquiries
regarding our membership/participation policy concernting life-threatening
communicable diseases."
Surprise your DE and ask for a copy of the material.
