A Solution To The "Field Uniform" Problem

Our Troop has a policy of traveling in Scout uniform and changing into
"play clothes" once we've reached our destination. Even when we've gone
places where we've run into other folks (at a trail head, for example)
the Scouts are very resourceful at finding ways to change clothes before
we hit the trail without calling (too much) attention to the process.
(You've never seen such modesty! Even when it's just us....) Of
course, a complete Scout uniform for the return trip is *not* an option.
This satisfies the boy's desire to wear the 'way cool kid stiff and the
Scouting movement's desire to have them look respectful (Rockwellian - a
great term I heard on this List) when they are out in public.
