Thinking Day - funding for scouts in U-countries

Dear List.
On February 22nd - the birthday of the Baden-Powell's both Lord Robert
and Lady Olave in many countries (including Denmark) the leaders
contribute a donation of one unit per scout-year of their national
currency to a fund that can help scouting in the third world. Being paid
to the national office - then transferred to the international offices
WOSM and WAGGS.
How widely is it used - all over the world ? ? ?
