I knew there was a topic I missed and wanted to cover...
Empty Koolaid Cans. Besides the obvious choice of using them to store things.
You could use them for...
1) Table decorations...Blue & Gold is coming up
2) Can we make toss games out of them?? This would be Bear Credit
3) Puddle Jumpers?? Are they heavy enough tin for the scouts to stand ON??
This would be Wolf Credit
4) We could use them for backyard gold
5) Use them to set up an obstacle course for bike riding
6) Give each boy one, and make up a small first aid kit, this could count for
many of the ranks, including webelos
7) Use them to catch bugs
8) Place small objects in each one, and blindfold the boys have them try to
guess the objects placed inside
These are just a few ideas I came up with on the spur of the moment. I'm
sure others out there have better ones. And, if you sit down and look
through the books, I'll bet you can come up with some more. Good Luck, and
remember virtually everything can be reused in scouting!
