It sounds like you are experiencing what a lot of parents/leaders are today -
it is easier and quicker for the parents to do it. Remember, scouting is for
the kids. It may not be perfect, but it will be theirs. Let some boys serve
drinks, take turns clearing tables, doing dishes, etc. It is my opinion that
each patrol or troop should contribute something - let it be their choice.
Good luck.
Remember, slow down and enjoy your kids while they are kids - none of them
are perfect, but they sure are fun !
