Scouting Competitions

Fellow Scouters,
Our District and Council hold a yearly Klondike Derby, a winter
competition between Troops sometimes attached to a Polar Bear Camp.
A seasoned Scouter told me that in his Scouting days, the Klondike
ran a season, just like baseball or football, with troop competitions
expanding many months ultimately ending with a play off.
Does anyone else remember these kinds of events?
Does anyone else still do seasonal events like this?
What other Competitive Troop activities do you do in your areas?
Looking for some new and challenging ideas for our District!
