Boston Trip in March 1997(reply)

The Boston Minuteman Council, BSA has a camp just outside of Boston. It is
called Sayre Training Reservation, and is located about 10 miles from
downtown Boston. The camp has 5 or 6 cabins as well as some fairly nice
adirondack shelters. I think the cost for a week-end is about $60-65, for
a cabin that sleeps 22.

My Torrington CT unit stayed there last June, and it worked out really well
as a base camp for our Freedom Trail adventure. BTW, Boston Council has a
medal and patch that can be earned while exploring the Freedom Trail. When
you call them ask for the paperwork.

They are at: 891 Centre St., Boston MA, 02130
Phone: (617) 522-4000

I hope this helps.

G. Fred Shepard
