The three "Gs"

Joseph did a great job in giving both sides of these issues. Thanks.

I understand what Joseph is saying about bandwidth but I remember the
topic of Coffee went on for almost three months. I not knocking coffee
but after a couple of days , I am not sure how much value it had to
Scouting other than it was a fun topic. (Scouting is "fun" spelled
sideways).

If we live by the SCOUT LAW, we will respond to any subject respecting
the others on Scouts L. Otherwise don't respond. We need to set the
same example on Scout L as we do in front of the Scouts.

The most heated subject I have seen on Scouts L is not the 3 Gs, but
uniforms.

I don't think we will be able to dodge the 3 Gs bullet much longer. I
have a friend who is way up in the Campfire Kids Leadership of this
State. She said Campfire is losing kids right and left because parents
say they have no moral values to teach their kids. (I think the
Campfire program here is equal to BSA in quality). She said parents
want more moral quality in the groups they allow their kids to belong
in. She believes they will go under in a few years if they don't
change torwards the BSA's policies. She also told me Girl Scout
numbers are falling fast as well.

In today's Politically Correct Climate, the 3 Gs may one day be the
hot topics just for the survival of the BSA.

I hope I am wrong because "I love this Scouting Stuff".
