Generally, here in Australia, we buy the old army blankets from the army
disposeal stores. While a biut heave, they are really warm in winter and
good around a campfire to keep warm. They are also the best ones for sewing
the badges onto.
The lady who was my Ranger Guide Leader, has 3 blankets and while they dont
all go on camps etc, they are used as bed spreads on her spare beds and
stuff, as she generally always seems to have a house ful of guests (mostly
Guiding or Socuting) and so they are a hit.
