Jan, the Cub Scout Basic Leader Training session is video based. The first
video segment is called Ages and Stages. Thsi segment is also packaged
with a Ethics in Action segment on another video. Sorry, don't have my
video resource sheet available.
The video segment is used for CSBLT as a presentation for new leaders
on what the kids are going to be like. Very good parenting information.
The video segment is also used as part of the Boy Scout leaders training
Scoutmastership Fundamentals; and the advanced leader training, Boy Scout
Leader Wood Badge. I do not remember it as part of the Cub Scout
Trainer Wood Badge training, but there are CSTWB trainers/staffers hanging
around on the council fire.
There is a companion video, Moments in Common, that
is used in the Explorer Leader training. I would like to see it included
as part of the Scoutmastership Fundamentals or supplemental training
for Boy Scout leaders.
Yours in Scouting,
Jay Bemis
